What I’m Consuming Lately

Okay y’all, it’s time for another edition of “What I’m Consuming Lately!”

A Game-Changing Breakfast

A couple months ago, I decided to switch up my breakfast. The idea had been simmering in my head for months, after listening to this podcast episode from Holistic Life Navigation (seriously, y’all need to start following this guy).

After dragging my feet for almost a year, I finally gave it a try.

I’ve always heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but I didn’t realize how important it is in terms of balancing and supporting your adrenal glands for the entire day.

My hormones have been wackadoodle for almost a year since I quit the hormonal birth control pill. And also, probably perimenopause. It felt like I got hijacked by anxiety, brain fog, and general “malaise.” I lost the drive and energy that came so naturally to me.

But ever since changing my breakfast, I’ve been feeling more grounded, focused, and motivated than… maybe ever?

I’ve been able to get my head back in the game.

I feel really confident in my ability to navigate my business and life overall.

I feel driven to work hard and plan for my future.

What a relief.

All the health commitments I’ve made the past year are finally paying off. Seeing a bodyworker and going to yoga 4x a week. Resting. Recalibrating. I think the nutritional piece was the last component!

So maybe this breakfast will be an integral part of your health journey too!

The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch

My partner and I are obsessed with this frontier science documentary series.

Skinwalker Ranch is a property in Utah known for paranormal and UAP activity. “Skinwalker” refers to a Navajo legend about shapeshifters. The native Indians have told stories about these shapeshifters and other paranormal occurrences for centuries.

The ranch was studied by the U.S. government for years, though they’re pretty tight-lipped about what they found.

Currently, it’s privately owned by Brandon Fugal, a real estate developer who’s funding a multi-year study of the property to get to the bottom of what the actual fuck is happening. Astrophysicist Dr. Travis Taylor is leading the study. He’s previously worked for the U.S. Department of Defense and NASA.

Season 6 is currently wrapping up. They’ve just discovered a manufactured material deep inside a sandstone mesa on the ranch that has self-healing properties.

Yes, you read that correctly.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

There’s also a spinoff show called Beyond Skinwalker Ranch, which is likewise funded by Brandon Fugal and overseen by Dr. Taylor. This show is in many ways even more exciting than the Secret of Skinwalker Ranch. A former covert CIA intelligence officer and an investigative journalist travel all over the U.S. to other sites of “high strangeness.”

But please—don’t take my word for it. Watch the show and see for yourself. Here are a couple of my favorite clips from both shows:

This series has turned my worldview upside down, which is why I can’t recommend it enough.

Andrew Yang and the Forward Party

I’ve been following Andrew Yang since he started the Forward Party and wrote his book Forward, several years ago.

Not many people know this, but he ran for U.S. president in 2020. Stymied by the inflexibility of the two-party system, Andrew decided to start a new political party and advocate for opening up the rigid two-party system.

Andrew is sincere, transparent, and honest—which is extremely hard to find in political figures these days.

When I hear him talk, I feel like we have a real chance at making the U.S. a better place.

I’ve come to learn that hope is a CHOICE you have to commit to. We don’t have a lot of reasons to feel hopeful given the state of the world right now. But, I don’t believe that giving up is an option. Choosing hope and getting involved is mandatory. For me, it’s the FWD party that gives me an avenue for creating change.

In fact, I recently decided to start volunteering with the FWD Party of California. I’m incredibly excited to become a part of this movement!

There are so many ways to follow Andrew Yang and the FWD party. He has a great podcast and substack. I recommend his 10-minutes TED Talk as a great place to start.
