Living My Saturday Night Fever Dream

Y’all.

I fulfilled one of my lifelong dreams this month—I learned the Brooklyn Shuffle! This is the line dancing scene from the movie Saturday Night Fever that includes the famous “seatbelt Travolta pose” that accompanies the iconic Bee Gee’s Night Fever song.

Um, funky much?!

I’m pretty sure I was a nightclubber in the 70’s in another life.

(And YES of course I got myself on video too! See it here)

Outlets for play never stop being important, especially as we age. I’ve written about this before. I hate that adults stop seeking out opportunities to express themselves for pure pleasure and fun.

Play keeps me youthful and energetic.

I don’t have the physical capacity that my 21-year-old self did. In fact, I live with a lot of chronic pain. But I still find ways to move my body in spaces that might seem “off limits” because of my age. Dance is my favorite form of play and self-expression.

What do you do to let loose and have fun?

Speaking of seeking out new adventures, thank y’all for joining my workshop last week on the Wanderer Archetype!

The Wanderer is an archetype found deep in your psyche that carries an instinctual wisdom on how to help you let go of situations that are unhealthy, unfitting, limiting, or even boring. This clears the way for you to explore what better aligns with what you want, whether it’s your job, relationships, routines, or other commitments.

The Wanderer has had a profound impact on me at various crossroads throughout my life. I’ve found a lot of inspiration and mobilizing energy from this archetype energy, which is what motivated me to create this workshop for y’all.

For those of you who missed the event, I’m going to post the replay video on my website next month, so be on the lookout for that!

Juicy Advice for When You Really Need It

My Wanderer workshop sparked an idea for new free tool that I just released.

If you ever feel lost or conflicted on how to move forward in a sticky situation, check out my Juicy Advice resource. This is about tapping into your own inner wisdom and resourcefulness to trust yourself, especially if moving forward requires you to take a risk.

Save this tool for when you need it.

Ringing in Fall with Love

You won’t hear from me next month on the blog, because I’m taking some time off to get married!! 💛

I love y’all.

And, it’s time for me to take a little break!

I’ll be back in October.
